EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY 2 PRACTICUM:

For me EDUCATIONAL is have a beg help to the students especially to the teacher's to be soon. Like me a teacher to be  If  I'm  pass  the board exam. Education is help to me how can teach and enhance the knowledge of the students. But  I  I'm  not  expert to this new technology, or the microsoft  word  and the power point, but I'm really pursue myself  to learned about it. Hopefully I've  learned so many things in this new technology, about the computers.

LESSON 16 - THE INTERNET AND EDUCATION

In lesson 16 It is true that the internet is educated because based on my experience it is really to help for me to enhance my capability to do so.  It  is good in our community that has a new technology  about internet system. The school today are gearing up to take advantage of internet access,where they can plug into the library of congress, make virtual visits to famous museums in the world. Even in the schools mostly of the teachers used a laptop to there students or the learners because to make an easy  or a past to be done their teach it. today , even elementary school grades in progressive countries like the United States corresponding via e-mail with pen pals in all 50 states. And the face book are so oriented to the public, most of that the student's.  

LESSON 15- UNDERSTANDING HYPERMEDIA

In this lesson makes it important to understand hypermedia in the educational context in order to ensure their successful integration in the teaching  learning process.  Hypermedia also use of the following events getting the learners attention, recall prior learning, inform learners of their lesson objectives introduce the software and its distinctive features. Guide learning provide feedback, assess performance, enhance retention and learning transfer. There are two characteristics in hypermedia, 1st is learner control it means the learner control make his own decisions on the path, flow or events of instructions. It is makes easiest the way to teach or making their projects and requirements. The 2nd is learner wide range of navigation routes, most part the learner controls the sequence and pace of his path depending on his ability and motivation. It means has guided on how to make your own decision and motivate.  

LESSON -14 - THE SOFTWARE AS AN EDUCATIONAL RESOURSES

True software's  must be checked for its contents and element .Event if they come from microsoft or any other trusted company, user must be check It its the genuine version.There are commercially sold ones that are good for instruction but still needs good expensive equipment. Some need more amount of memory and have to be practiced before presenting to the students still they are effective.And still, teachers must be creative on presenting it to them.

LESSON 13 - COOPERATIVE LEARNING WITH COMPUTER

Cooperative learning can be applied in doing projects. I think the reason why it is not to be adopted in all classroom learning situations is that the group may not be all the time organized.  Some may not work efficiently and may take time for teachers to work them out.  What I have experienced, some groups also work fine depending whether or not the members like each other's company.  But whatever they do, they can always make it a challenge.  They can always do it  positively even if they don't like their  group mates. This way, they will do their best making this a clean competition. Yes debated  may work but in a decent manner. This way, the student can enhance his / her own skills. He/she  learns respect  and "PAKIKISAMA", good values that must be acquired. The teacher is the one that checks and  looks for strategies to ensure each member does his/her work. Maybe he/she can take time to interact with the group at times.

LESSON 12 - IT IN SUPPORT OF STUDENT-CENTERED LEARNING

I was really disappointed that less developed countries have economies defend on factory workers who do repetetive work without thinking on the jobs and industrialized societies defend on ICT. Less developed  countries can also depend on ICT. As well, but not that efficient and not that advanced.They underestimated these pleasant countries, and the traditional approach  too much.The society really  have changed. I mean,  the traditional  classroom has also its share of advantages over the SCL. And the disadvantages at the traditional may also be noticed in SCL,such as its environment can also be noisy, students can also be bored,and that teachers have all the priviledge on the decision of how to make them be attentive on the class again, depending not only on mere computer capabilities. Even in SCL,it is in the teacher's discretion on how the class can be fun, memorable and healthy. He/ she may ask the class to do the icebreaker songs that the traditional classroom always does. I think it's better than staring act the PC all  period.

LESSON 11 - THE COMPUTER AS THE TEACHER'S TOOL

Again, we shall  look the computer is the another perspective, as the teacher's handy-tool. In fact  we support the constructivist and social  contructivist  paradigms of constructing learning.  Piaget was introduced  the cunstructivism, they gave stress to knowledge discovery of new meaning/ concepts/ principles in learning process.  Knowledge  is constructed by the individual learner in also knowledge be socially constructed. This is an effort to show that the construction 0f knowledge is governed by social, historical and cultural contexts.  Computers are most highly handy-tools for the teachers and students so that we provide all the things can do so important of us.

LESSON 10 - COMPUTER AS A TUTOR

Individual instructions is important that is why computers are useful in instruction. Still there are many reasons why we must rely to much on computers.What about brown-outs? You can use these high-tech equipments without electricity and there are many other more reasons.  Computers only help and cannot  replace teachers. They can't feel like that of humans.  what ever our country is facing right now, our education system is affected because we need funds to support the CAI  for school programs.  In the community, donations from  NGOs and other organization were accepted in some schools in order to have enough equipment to fulfill  the integration of technology in instruction.

LESSON 9-COMPUTERS AS INFO AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY

Then again, computers are main equipment for ICT especially in education. It has instructional and communication capabilities. The internet is always the computers partner that makes it all work. Even outside school, these two coincide with each other  in important tasks. E-bay or shopping online is one of the many examples. E-commerce and e-finance are also another business- related capabilities that are done online. Entertainment, advertising and development communication uses much of multimedia on the web that are now used. Another new feature is the social networking where all of these are applied like the Facebook. Because of technology, there disadvantages in line with the advantages. Some people are abusing it,  however, some rules and laws regulated the use of ICT but not everything can be controlled. Some still are at large.I hope the people will help prevent these scams.

LESSON 8- HIGHER THINKING SKILLS THROUGH IT-BASED PROJECTS

In this lesson,  we talk about  four types of  IT-based projects which can effectively be used in order to engage students in activities of a higher plane of thinking. Computers also gained more knowledge to the students  and it is also easily do things using the computers through their research, assignments etc. The students themselves who demonstrate higher thinking skills and creativity through such activities searching for information, organizing and synthesizing ideas,creating presentation.

LESSON 7- IT FOR HIGHER THINKING SKILLS AND CREATIVITY

In this lesson, the computers must be important because the teachers are using these computers to present and to support the lesson such as the  chalkboard, videotape, newspaper or  magazine and photos. It is also followed by the presentation discussing and giving their assignments.Today, most of the students are expected not to be only cognitive, but also flexible, analytical and creative. There are methods proposed for the use of computer-based technologies as an integral support to higher thinking skills and activity.

LESSON 6- IT ENTERS A NEW LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

As a student, I have tried traditional ways or learning and I think it is really different and more interesting if we don't only learn to apply it but also so that we can use it is in real life situations that might really help an individual deal with the life's ups and downs. Of the four, I think constructivism doesn't want to abandon beliefs  in fact we can even learn from these beliefs what our ancestors culture and traditions were and compare them to our new experiences thus making  constructivism be it really of great use. We can differentiate what we had before  and make new realizations. Personal discoveries that contradict accepted principles may help.

LESSON 5- STATE-OF-THE-ART ET APPLICATION PRACTICES

I agree that appropriate use of instruction must be used.This gives more focus on the teachers and administration. Aside from the skills that the teachers must have,the fact that technology advances more easily than we think.They must be competitive and must also learn new techniques,so that  they won't be replaced by mere computers. Using media to make classes entertaining and fun can really be helpful. Students won't absorb learnings if they are too bored,that is why teachers must make them keep being attentive in the class. Teachers also learn from themselves new techniques which can be more interesting to students by self-study  and further research . IT supported instruction  is never difficult to asses. It is in the teacher /educator's  determination that makes him be interested to learn and asses more. In connection with this, they can also learn the new upgrades  and advances in technology in the future. This is the one of the advantages of the future  learners because technology may be different and more improved than the current technology. This is what makes us less effective in the Philippines. As time passes, new equipment which are  more expensive are needed to cope up with its advancement.

LESSON 4- BASIC CONCEPTS ON INTEGRATING TECHNOLOGY IN INSTRUCTION

The use of technology in instruction would mean that the educators should apply this idea so that one won't be left behind. The traditional classroom setting, for me, still has its place in the classroom. I love the traditional way because I'm a product  of it. Maybe it has disadvantages since some considered it as boring. The teacher is the center and the main star in the classroom wherein the student should focus their attention. If the teacher don't know how to motivate his/ her class, then the class would be boring.

LESSON 3- EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY IN THE ASIA PACIFIC

Just wondering if our country has also formulated state policies and strategy to infuse technology in schools like that of the other countries in the Asia Pacific Region.The goal of providing confidence to educators that they are taking the right steps in adopting technology in education,would be a great help. If we compare our country from the progressive countries in the Asia Pacific Region, we are behind them since we are still developing. Imposing these idea to our schools would be impossible because we don't have enough financial support from the government. I can't imagine that in school we have only 1 computer since most school population is 1,000. I consider this as inadequate.I hope we can cope up with our neighboring countries especially in terms of technology in instruction.

LESSON 2- AN OVERVIEW EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY 2

What I'm going to learn from  this course would be a great help when I'll be a teacher soon. Since we are in the modern age, it would be impractical if we are not going to apply technology in our instruction.I would consider this as a refreshing and exciting experience instead  of  the fear of losing competitiveness. We can't stop technology , so lets stay positive.

LESSON 1-A REVIEW OF EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY

In educational technology 1,the use of technology in instruction has been introduced.It orients the learner to the pervasiveness of educational technology in society which also recognize the third revolution in education.The computer, though we are behind with some and almost of our neighboring countries like Singapore and Hongkong, our government strive hard  to supply these demands in learning. Because of the invasion of technology ,the young generations today are addicted to some computer games which cause  problems to some institutions.In our own city strict implementation of  "no elementary and high school students during class hours" is one of the remedies to reduce this problems.In educational technology 1,the use of technology in instruction has been introduced.It orients the learner to the pervasiveness of educational technology in society which also recognize the third revolution in education.The computer, though we are behind with some and almost of our neighboring countries like Singapore and Hongkong, our government strive hard  to supply these demands in learning.
